Violent Sexual Predator Relocates to Shandon

A man who is considered a sexually violent predator has received the okay from the San Luis Obispo Superior Court to move. Frederick Douglas Hoffman has been living in a trailer near the County Sheriff’s Department on Kansas Avenue for the past year. The 44 year old man now lives on Centre Street in Shandon, but is still under close supervision. In fact, he has 24 hour security personnel monitoring his activity. Hoffman also has a 9pm curfew, can’t walk into Shandon proper and is subject to random drug tests. Hoffman was held at ASH for close to a decade after he violated his parole by exposing himself to a child. He was put on parole after sexually assaulting two children.
