Unusual Drive By Leads to Several Arrests
|
|
Police got a call about a drive by shooting this weekend, but this incident was different than you’d expect. It was about 11:30 Sunday morning when they got the report of a shooting on Highway 101 near Highway 58. A car had shot at another car using an air soft gun. The victim’s windshield was damaged from the incident. After further investigation, police obtained and served a search warrant for a house on the 100 block of Hawley Street in Templeton. When officers served the warrant, 49 year old Efigenia Vasquez grabbed the deputy’s gun and was immediately arrested for battery and attempt to take a firearm from a peace officer. They also arrested 20 year old Leonides Vasquez for assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing an imitation firearm, felony vandalism and participation in a criminal street gang. 24 year old Floro Vasquez was also taken into custody on charges of misappropriation of lost property and violation of parole. Efigenia has been released on bail. Floro and Leonides are both documented members of a criminal street gang and are being held on parole violation and probation hold respectively. |
