Paso Robles, CA -- Paso Robles Police Department officers were dispatched to the Salinas Riverbed yesterday morning about 10:55 on a report of a dead body located in a transient camp. Officers subsequently located the victim, on the west side of the Salinas Riverbed, near Sulfur Springs Road.
All early indications pointed to the victim dying of natural causes. Preliminary investigation did not reveal anything to suggest foul play was involved. So far the victim has not been identified. The victim appeared to have been dead for a significant amount of time as the body was in the advanced stages of decomposition. The investigation continues.
