San Luis Obispo, CA -- CalFire reports two wild fires burned in San Luis Obispo County Friday. The "San Marcos fire" was reported at just after 3 o’clock near the San Marcos road on-ramp to North Highway 101 and San Marcos road, Paso Robles. The fire was contained to 43 acres at about 4:15. The cause of the fire is under investigation. And at about 3:20 CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire responded to the "Highway fire" located Highway 41 between Creston and Shandon. That fire burned 438 acres of grass. It was contained at 5:30 and caused by a vehicle.
