|
Two Atascadero men came to the aid of a woman being assaulted Monday night by parolee released from prison the day before, and possibly saved her from further harm. The victim, a 23 year old white female was outside her house in the 6300 block of Santa Ynez in Atascadero when she was approached by 21 year old Daniel Johnson, who struck her without warning and knocked her to the ground. Johnson got on top of her and continued to assault her. Her cries for help were heard by neighbors nearby. Daniel Levinson and Jesse Leader chased the suspect away, but later caught him and held him for police. Police say it was a random assault. Johnson was arrested and booked into county jail for attempted rape and violation of parole. The victim was uninjured and released at the scene by Paso paramedics. |
