Atascadero, CA -- Two dozen firefighters from three fire departments put out a blaze at an Atascadero residence early yesterday. Just after 8 a.m., firefighters found the blaze coming from the rear and side windows and spreading into the attic of a multi-family residence at 5315 Barrenda Ave. It took about a half-hour to put out the flames. Investigators suspect the fire started in the building’s rear service porch but are still looking for the cause. Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to just one apartment.
