Paso Robles, CA -- The California Highway Patrol has identified the woman who died in a traffic accident early Sunday near San Miguel. 21-year-old Amanda Nicole Brown of Paso Robles was killed when her car crashed into a tree at 2:25 in the morning.

The CHP said she was northbound on River Road, south of Mission Drive, when she lost control of the vehicle, crossed over to the southbound lane, then overcorrected and struck a large tree broadside. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
