Three Suspects Identified in a Series of Car Thefts

Sheriff's Detectives may have found the people responsible for numerous property thefts from cars in the Buellton area. A 17 year old Santa Ynez resident was booked into Juvenile Hall for grand theft and burglary. Another 17 year old has been linked to 12 cases of property theft. The District Attorney is also looking into a possible connection between the juvenile and three car thefts. An adult has also been identified as a suspect in the recent increase in car and property thefts. During the investigation, the stolen property including a stolen handgun and a stolen car from Grover Beach were recovered. The Sheriff's Department is reminding everyone to lock their car doors and to never leave any valuables in sight. |
