Fire Investigators are looking into a suspicious house fire that broke out on Saturday. Around 2:30am, five fire engines and the Battalion Chief arrived at 239 Highland Drive in San Luis Obispo to find heavy smoke coming from the front of the house. All the residents were able to escape safely when they heard the sound of breaking glass and activated smoke detectors. It took firefighters ten minutes to extinguish the blaze. They believe that the fire started in some furniture that was on the front porch, and quickly spread to the inside of the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
