San Luis Obispo, CA -- On Friday, a judge ordered a receiver take control of Dean DeVaul’s property on LOVR.

De Vaul, owner of the the 72-acre San Luis Obispo ranch and sober living facility... has been quarreling with county officials for years over lousy drinking water, calls about junk on his property, and the many structures that fail to meet health and safety codes.  De Vaul claims he's been offering a community service by providing a place for local homeless people to live and find shelter.  

Receiver David J. Pasternak has been appointed to carry out San Luis Obispo County's long list of challenges to bring the property up to code.The next court hearing with Pasternak is scheduled for February 14th.
