Posted: Wednesday, 01 October 2008 9:08AM Steal Campaign Signs and Get Fined Some candidates running for city-wide elections are having to work to keep their campaign signs up. The Grover Beach Police Department doesn’t know who is doing it, but campaign signs are disappearing and others have been found damaged. According to The Tribune, three candidates running for the Grover Beach City Council—Liz Doukas, Chuck Ashton, and John Shoals—have had problems with their signs. A sign showing support for McCain and Palin was also tampered with. Anyone caught messing with the signs will receive a fine up to $1,000.
