Spontaneous Combustion in Avila Beach

Spontaneous combustion was the cause of a late night fire in Avila Beach. Just before midnight on Friday, CalFire responded to a report of a fire at the Avila Bay Fitness Center on the 6600 block of Bay Laurel Place. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to a garbage can. The fire caused $10,000 in damage.
