Six people have been arrested in relation to a large marijuana grow near Lake Isabella. After a two month long investigation done by several government agencies, it was determined that the men had done damage to the ecologically sensitive area. The Department of Fish and Game helped with the eradication of 4,100 marijuana plants and helped rebuild the habitat. Police confiscated $6,900 in cash, three guns and two cars along with nearly 10 pounds of marijuana and several thousand plants. The six men being held responsible for the grow range from 20 to 58 years in age, and most of them have lengthy criminal records. Now, they face charges of possession for marijuana for sale, child endangerment, resisting arrest, pollution of state waters, littering on an ecological reserve and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony among others. |
