It took the SWAT Team, a Hostage Negotiations Team, Sheriff’s Detectives, a K-9 unit, a Sheriff’s Helicopter and Sheriff’s Deputies to detain a man for violating his parole. On Tuesday afternoon around 3 o’clock, Patrol Deputies tried to pull over Christopher Anderson while he was driving in his Jeep Cherokee along Highway 154 and Hollister Avenue. Anderson was wanted for violating his probation. Anderson sped off when Deputies tried to pull him over, but he crashed into a hedge in front of Faith Baptist Church on Hollister Avenue. Anderson got out of the car and ran down an alley next to the church. Law enforcement determined that Anderson was in a home on the 4500 block of Auhay Drive. Once the SWAT Team and Hostage Negotiation Team arrived, they tried to contact Anderson, but had no luck. It was around 1:30am when the SWAT Team entered the house where Anderson was and found him hiding in a bedroom closet. He is being held in Santa Barbara County Jail without bail for probation violation, felony evading, being under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting arrested. |
