San Luis Obispo, CA -- San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a second man in connection with a kidnap and assault case in California Valley. Daniel Andrew Zeller was taken into custody yesterday after being spotted in the area. Zeller along with Phillip Clyde Williams are currently in San Luis Obispo County Jail. Both men are being accused of kidnapping and assaulting a man held in a California Valley home for several days.

The victim who claims he was attacked by a fork and a hammer was treated at the scene by Cal Fire and turned over to emergency medical personnel for ground transport. One of the suspects in the assault, Williams, was taken into custody after 2:00 AM when he attempted to return to the crime scene. He was arrested on a no bail warrant from Fresno, with additional charges pending on this incident. Preliminary details on why the man was held and beaten are not available at this time.
