Paso Robles, CA -- Dozens of students were sent home in the Paso Robles School District yesterday for not proving they've had their whooping cough vaccine or showing a signed waiver. All three thousand students in the district were required to get their Tdap vaccination by the time they showed up for school Thursday, thirty days after school started as mandated by the state. The district says a total of 70 middle and high school students had yet to send proper documentation. The district held a Tdap clinic Wednesday, during which the number of students who had yet to fill out their paperwork dropped from 223.The deadline for students in the Atascadero School District is today, and students will be taken out of class then if they don't provide proper documentation. The district there says about 120 students have yet to bring proper documentation.
