Posted: Wednesday, 11 June 2008 9:41AM Santa Maria Man Sentenced to 80 Years A Santa Maria man has been sentenced to 80 years to life behind bars. 27 year old Ivan Moreno Hernandez opened fire at a church dance last year. According to The Tribune, Hernandez shot 19 year old Kevin Lopez and 21 year old Rafael Lainez in front of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church on the 900 block of Orchard Street in Santa Maria. Both men survived the shooting. Hernandez was charged with two counts of attempted murder and related gun and gang allegations.
