San Luis Obispo, CA -- A 27-year-old San Luis Obispo man is being held at the SLO County Jail on suspicion of battery, false imprisonment, and domestic violence after a number of incidents were reported at a Shell Beach home.

According to Pismo Beach police two women at the house accused 27-year-old David Galvan of assaulting them. One woman alleged that she had only been living in the house for two days when Galvan confronted her in an abusive manner. Investigators say an argument started and Galvan punched her in the face.

The other woman told police that Galvan grabbed her by her hair and dragged her into her bedroom and kept her there against her will. The woman said when one of them tried to call authorities, Galvan smashed the phone. Galvan was booked on four misdemeanor warrants and faces several charges.
