Reclamator inventor Tom Murphy is suing the state and some of its local water board regulators for $80 million, claiming he and his product have been defamed. Murphy claims his Reclamator turns sewage into drinking water. For the past year, he has been proposing its use as a way to solve the Los Osos sewer problem. But opposition says his invention hasn’t been fully tested and may not meet water quality standards.
