San Luis Obispo, CA -- A bus driver with the Regional Transit Authority was arrested yesterday afternoon for allegedly driving his bus while drunk. 46-year old John Farmer of Avila Beach was arrested at 2:40 p.m. as he drove his bus through San Luis Obispo. The bus was traveling to San Luis Obispo from Santa Maria.

A passenger on the bus noticed the bus was being driven erratically and called police. Police stopped the bus at Palm and Osos streets, arresting Farmer on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. RTA authorities were notified and another driver took over.
