San Luis Obispo, CA -- CAL FIRE crews will be starting prescribed burns today in coastal state parks in San Luis Obispo County. The burns will last through the end of December. When conditions permit, firefighters will be burning around 420 acres between Estero Bluffs State Park and Hearst San Simeon State Park. State Park officials say the prescribed burns keep the ocean views open and aid in the control of non-native, weedy species.
