Police Believe Two Armed Robberies in San Luis Obispo Are Related
|
If it doesn’t work the first time, try, try again… at least that seems to be the idea in the head of an armed man who tried to rob two stores in San Luis Obispo over the weekend. It was after two o’clock on Saturday when a man went into the Starbucks in the Food-4-Less Shopping Center on South Higuera, with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The suspect didn’t get his cash, but before he ran out the door, he sprayed two employees with pepper spray
About an hour later, another robbery was reported at San Luis Floral on Marsh Street. The armed man went inside the shop, showed his gun and demanded money. This time, the employee gave him cash and the robber left the store on foot and went toward Archer Street.
San Luis Obispo Police Officers believe that the two robberies are related and involve a man in his 50s or 60s, about 5’ 8” tall, with a stocky build. Anyone with information should contact CrimeStoppers at 549.STOP.
