Police are on the lookout for the man who robbed a bank in downtown San Luis Obispo. It was about eleven o’clock yesterday morning when a man in his late 30s entered the Bank of America on Higuera Street and handed the teller a robbery note. He placed a yellow backpack that he was carrying on the desk, and simulated pointing a gun at the teller. The suspect got away with some cash, but no one was injured. Detectives believe that this could be the same man responsible for robbing the Bank of America in Santa Maria just about a month ago. The suspect is a white man, about 5’ 8” and weighs approximately 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a light colored baseball hat, sunglasses and a floral print shirt. If you think you know who this man is, call Crime Stoppers at 549.STOP.
