Pilot Sent to Jail After Trying to Land in Santa Maria
A pilot is in jail after trying to land a plane at the Santa Maria Airport while under the influence. 57 year old Gregory Anderson was trying to land a single engine Cessna when the nose gear collapsed during his landing. Santa Maria Police arrived at the airport around 6:30 Wednesday night to find Anderson under the influence of alcohol. They arrested him and booked him into the Santa Barbara County Jail on DUI charges. No one was hurt during the incident.
