The Paso Robles man who caused a crash that killed one and badly injured a CHP Officer has heard his punishment. 20 year old Jeremy White will spend the next 15 years of his life in prison. White was sentenced yesterday in a Ventura County courtroom. In December, White rammed into CHP Officer Anthony Pedeferri’s patrol car during a routine traffic stop on Highway 101 just north of Ventura. The crash killed the driver of the stopped car, Andreas Parra. Officer Pedeferri is now paralyzed from the chest down. White pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter and causing injury while driving under the influence. The maximum sentence that White could have received was 16 years.
