San Luis Obispo, CA -- A 32-year-old Oceanside man will be sentenced next month in San Luis Obispo Superior Court for his conviction on three counts of sex crimes against a local girl. A jury convicted Jackson Sullivan McGuire last Wednesday of three counts of lewd acts when the girl was between the ages of about 9 and 13. According to the Tribune, McGuire and the girl had known each other for years and had family ties, but they weren’t relatives. The trial, which took a few days to complete, is the second time the case went before a jury. A different jury deadlocked in 2010 with 11 jurors in favor of guilt and one against. McGuire faces a minimum of three years in state prison and a maximum of 12 years.
