Not Even a Minute...

The CHP wants to remind everyone that not only is leaving a child in a hot car dangerous, but it is also illegal. Kaitlyn’s Law, or the Unattended Child in a Motor Vehicle Act, made it unlawful for anyone to leave a child under the age of six inside a car without the supervision of someone over the age of 12... Not even for a minute. Those who break that law will be fined $100. This month is purple ribbon month to remember children who have lost their lives, including Kaitlyn Russel who died from hyperthermia after she was left in a parked back in 2000. |
