Posted: Friday, 22 August 2008 11:30AM New Cuyama Safety Improvements Reaches the Half Way Point The project to improve Highway 166 in New Cuyama is half way done. When the Cuyama Rehabilitation Project is finished, there will be wider traffic lanes and new left hand turn lanes. The Branch and Salisbury Canyon Bridges will also be widened. Paving is scheduled during the overnight hours, Sunday through Thursday until mid-September and during the daytime between 6am to 5pm, from Monday through Thursday. Delays should not exceed 10 minutes. The project will be complete next spring.
