San Luis Obispo, CA -- The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department says a man died after crashing his motorcycle yesterday afternoon. The crash happened at about 4:30 on Highway 1, about two miles north of the Monterey County line. Emergency crews called in a helicopter to rush him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead before it took off. His name has not been released. The coroner's office is still trying to notify his family.
