In an unprecedented meeting between Mothers for Peace and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Washington DC yesterday, the San Luis group accused the NRC of failing to address land contamination that could result from a terrorist attack on the dry cask storage units at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. NRC staff admitted that it did not address the issue fully in its environmental study, and said they dismissed the possibility as too remote.
