A fire causes thousands of dollars in damage to a house in Nipomo. CalFire arrived to the scene shortly after 2:45 and had the fire knocked down in less than 10 minutes. The double-wide mobile home on the 400 block of Uranus Court was home to a woman and her son who were both asleep at the time that the fire started. They were able to escape out the bathroom window. There were no smoke detectors in the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
