Millions In Marijuana Plants Pulled Up in Santa Barbara County
|
|
The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department has hauled away more than 23,000 marijuana plants over the past week. Starting last Friday, six marijuana gardens were dug up. Each grow ranged from 2,000 to 8,000 plants. In addition to the $58 million dollars in marijuana plants, they also found 312 pounds of processed weed worth more than a million dollars. This is the third week out of the last two months that the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department has spent eradicating marijuana gardens in the county. No arrests have been made, but evidence suggests that they were recently occupied by illegal immigrants. |
