Man Comes Home to Burglar Rummaging Through His House
A Nipomo man came home one day to find that someone had broken into his home and that person was still inside. Robert Hayashi called 911 when he got home just after 5 o’clock Saturday evening. When a San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Deputy arrived to the 600 block of Riviera Circle, he found 40 year old Daren Blomgren running from the back of the house towards Black Lake Golf Course. Blomgren was arrested at gunpoint. The Deputy found that the Santa Maria man had a bag of stolen money and liquor. Neighbors also told police that they saw a suspicious vehicle with a female inside, but police were unable to find the woman. He was actually just released from prison at the end of September for similar charges.
