Local Volunteers Help Hurricane Gustav Victims
|
|
Three local volunteers will be joining thousands of others in helping victims of Hurricane Gustav. With estimates of $8 billion in damage and two weeks before power can be restored to 800,000 people, Gulf Coast residents need all the help they can get. Joe Benson, Joe Quiroz and Jean Luis are on their way to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to begin their three week assignments. The local chapter of the American Red Cross trained them on how to respond to natural disasters. Find out how you can help without having to leave the state at www.slo-redcross.org. |
