Local Law Enforcment Agency Recognized in Sacramento
A local law enforcement agency has been recognized by the state as having the best and most innovative programs designed to encourage people to use their seatbelts and to curb impaired driving and speeding. Cal Poly’s University Police Department was honored with the California Law Enforcement Challenge Award. Also presented with the award was the Bakersfield CHP. The awards were given out at a day-long traffic safety symposium in Sacramento. This is the sixth year that the honor has been awarded.
