Posted: Thursday, 12 June 2008 9:54AM Local Firefighters Sent to Help With Wildfires Dozens of local Fire fighters have been sent to help with the California wildfires. Last night the fire crew was sent to help with the “41” fire burning near Fresno. Another 12 firefighters were sent to fight the Indians fire west of King City. Santa Barbara County Fire Crews have put out 33 vegetation fires within the county this year. This is the fifth time the Santa Barbara County Fire Department has sent personnel out of the county to help with wildfires.
