Law Enforcement Crack Down on Underage Drinking at the Fair
The fairgrounds are under the close watch of the SLO County Sheriff’s Special Problems Unit and the Alcoholic Beverage Control. Sheriff’s Deputies have conducted 20 decoy operations in which an underage person tries to buy alcohol from the vendor, but not one person has sold the minor alcohol. Deputies have also conducted 20 shoulder tap operations where a minor asks someone of age to buy alcohol for them. One arrest was made. These operations will continue throughout the duration of the MidState Fair.
