Human Remains Found at the Dunes

Human remains have been found at a popular tourist spot on the Central Coast. On Tuesday, a human skull and jawbone were found in the sand at the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreational Area. Coroner Investigators aren’t calling this evidence of foul play, but part of California history. The skull has been identified to be that of a Native American who was buried in the area years ago, but the wind uncovered the burial site. Coroner’s Deputies have notified tribal coordinators so that the remains can be properly cared for and relocated. |
