Police are investigating a hit and run collision that happened over the weekend in San Miguel. A lot is left unknown about the incident, but police do know that someone drove their 1997 Ford Ranger into a dirt embankment just after 12:15 Sunday morning. The car caught air and hit a PG&E utility pole at 14th and L Streets, knocking out power for most of San Miguel. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Police are continuing their investigation to find out what caused the collision and to find out who was driving the truck when it crashed.
