Posted: Monday, 16 June 2008 7:11AM Highway 101 Closures in North County If you’re traveling through North County tonight, chances are you will be taking a detour. Tonight is the second night that Highway 101 will be closed in both directions at Vineyard Drive from 11pm to 5am. Signs will be up to help motorists get around the closure. Northbound traffic will exit Highway 101 before re-entering the highway at Vineyard Drive. Southbound traffic will exit on Main Street and turn right on Vineyard Drive to get back on Highway 101. The project to widen the Vineyard Overcrossing is expected to be complete in 2010. Also in Atascadero, Highway 101 will be closed in both directions for bridge work. All of this week, motorists traveling northbound will exit Curbaril Avenue, use El Camino Real and hop back on the highway at Rosario Avenue. Southbound traffic will use El Camino Real as well and get back on Highway 101 using Curbaril. The closures will last about two weeks, will take place from 9pm to 5am Monday through Friday.
