Heroin Dealers Arrested

This past week, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives searched the homes of several suspected heroin dealers throughout the southern part of the county. On Monday, detectives arrested 20 year old Manuel Lira. In his apartment on the 800 block of Orange in Santa Barbara, detectives found more than 6 grams of heroin, seven hundred dollars and drug paraphernalia related to sales. On Thursday, detectives found over 100 grams of heroin and $2,500 in the apartment of 39 year old Louie Perez. Lira and Perez are both being held in the Santa Barbara County Jail in lieu of $30,000. 18 year old Sergio Avalos and 35 year old Raul Cruz for possession of heroin for sale after detectives found syringes, weapons and forged government documents at their apartment on the 500 block of Linden Avenue. Avalos is being held at 20-thousand dollars bail. Cruz was not given the opportunity to make bail because of his immigration status. |
