Helmet May Have Saved the Life of San Luis Obispo Boy

A helmet may have saved the life of a boy from San Luis Obispo. The 17 year old was riding his motorcycle down Los Osos Valley Road near Madonna when a car turned in front of him. According to Police, 19 year old Sean Simpson did not see the motorcyclist when he attempted to make the left hand turn into the Laguna Village Shopping Center. The collision was unavoidable, and the 17 year old was thrown from the motorcycle over the hood of Simpson’s car. He hit his head on the windshield of the car, shattering it. The motorcyclist from San Luis Obispo was wearing a helmet though and suffered only from a broken leg.
