Grand Jury Reports on Road Project

The Grand Jury took a look at the progress being made on the Santa Margarita Road Project in Atascadero. Road improvements are being done on a 1,100 foot section of the road between Norte and Abieto Road. Public Works said they would include a 4 foot shoulder on that section of the road, however, after the Jury’s evaluation, they took note that a 300 foot section of Santa Margarita Road still does not have a shoulder… all this without any communication between residents and Public Works. The Grand Jury has suggested in their report that Public Works should honor their commitment and install the shoulder or provide a valid explanation as to why it shouldn’t be installed. |
