Posted: Wednesday, 24 September 2008 8:32AM Good News for the SLO County Regional Airport After American Eagle and Delta decided to completely pull their service from the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport, the Economic Vitality Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce formed an alliance to support the vitality of the airport. While the alliance didn’t change their mind, the group did learn enough to convince another airline to make a major service commitment. U.S. Airways will more than double the service currently running out of San Luis Obispo and add larger jets. The airline will increase their number of seats in increments, starting October 2nd. The increase will pick up the slack from the cancellations made by other airlines.
