Early Saturday Morning Collision Takes Life of Tulare Man
|
|
A Tulare man was killed early Saturday morning when his Chevy pickup crashed into a big rig on Highway 46 just east of the Shandon rest area. 62 year old Robert Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP says Hernandez was traveling eastbound when, for some unknown reason, he drifted into oncoming traffic and crashed into a tractor trailer rig driven by 50 Timothy Chapple of Fresno. Chapple tried to get out of the way but could not. His rig turned on its side, and he suffered major injuries. He was taken to Twin Cities Hospital. Both men were wearing seat belts. |
