Dead Fisherman Found Off Morro Bay

 Morro Bay -- A fisherman was found dead yesterday tied to a buoy. According to the coroner’s office, 47-year-old David Kubiak of Los Osos appeared to have fallen from his houseboat, Axel, while fishing some time Monday night. He attempted to secure himself to a fishing buoy after falling. Kubiak was found at about 10:40 by another fisherman off a beach near Cambria. Coast Guard officials and investigators from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department picked up the body. Kubiak’s death is being considered an accident at sea.
