Dead Bird Found in San Luis Obispo Carries West Nile Virus
The West Nile virus has found its way to the city of San Luis Obispo. The County’s Health Department conducted tests on a dead bird on Monday and confirmed that it indeed carried the West Nile Virus. Health Officers are asking residents to stay healthy by taking protective measures to avoid mosquito bites. This is the first dead bird in the county that has been tested positive for the virus this year.
