A Supervisor for San Luis Obispo County is being recognized as a distinguished alumnus. Fourth District Supervisor Katcho Achadjian was chosen to be honored with the award by the Community College League of California. The award is based on career achievements, professional standing and contributions to the community. Achadjian graduated from Cuesta College in 1973 and continued his education at Cal Poly, earning a degree in business administration. Since the late 70s, Achadjian has owned his own business and been a Supervisor since 1999. He also serves as Commissioner for the California Coastal Commission and is also involved in several other civic organizations such as the Latino Outreach Council and Special Olympics for the county. Achadjian was one of five reward recipients and will be formally presented with the California Distinguished Alumni Award in late November at the Community College League of California’s annual convention. |
