County Lifts Stop Work Order for Greka
|
|
Greka is back in the headlines again, but this time, they’re back to work. County Officials have notified Greka Oil that their Stop Work Order has been lifted for the facility on Dominion Road near Santa Maria. Greka is allowed to continue pumping oil, only if the company notifies County Fire and Petroleum Inspection Staff 24 hours in advance and workers have to be under the supervision of County Staff. Greka’s Fire Protection System has to be tested and approved by the County’s Fire Department within a 180 day period from when the Stop Work Order is lifted, or the facility will be shut down again. Greka had to correct more than 140 violations at the Dominion Facility alone since February. Currently, the Bradley Facility in Santa Maria remains under a Stop Work Order. |
