Posted: Wednesday, 01 October 2008 8:47AM Council of Governments to Celebrate 40 Years The San Luis Obispo Council of Governments is celebrating their “ruby” anniversary. A formal dinner set for Thursday will celebrate 40 Years of Progress and Dedication by the representatives of the seven cities and SLO County. Mayor John Shoals, San Luis Obispo Council of Governments Executive Director Ronald De Carli and Assemblyman Sam Blakeslee are expected to speak at the event. The program will begin at 6:30 at the Cliff’s Resort in Shell Beach tomorrow night.
